1976

NAFIN registered a Representation Office in London.

1994

NAFIN established its Certificates of Deposit (CD) Programme through its London Branch for an amount of up to USD 500 million.

2005

CD Programme was increased for an amount of up to USD 750 million.

2006

CD Programme was increased for an amount of up to USD 1,000 million.

2013

On October 2013, the CD Programme was increased for an amount of up to USD 2,000 million.

2014

NAFIN issued a 5-year tenor CD, the first long term issue since 1997.

2015

The CD Programme was rated BBB+/A-2 by Standard and Poor's

The CD Programme was  rated  BBB+/F2  by Fitch Ratings

The CD Programme was  rated   A3/ Prime-2  by Moody’s

2016

As required under NAFIN’s registration with the Mexican National Banking Commission, NAFIN gives notice to the Commission of all issued CDs for registration purposes which enables their counterparties to carry out repo transactions in Mexico.

2017

In February 2017, the Programme reached US$1,968 million, the highest outstanding amount issued by NAFIN in this type of transaction since it was established.

The program was increased to U.S. Dls.3000 million and terms of up to 10 years
